Who we are

What data we use and why
Booking request: name, email address, phone number, address, postcode, town, the number of guests, the chosen dates, your comments and, if applicable, a voucher code. We use this data to handle your request, carry out the booking and invoice it. We do not ask for details of the other guests.
Contact form: name, email address, phone number (if you enter it), subject and message, to answer your question.
Vouchers: name and email address of the guest we give a voucher to, so we can email the voucher and check it with a later request.
Visitor statistics without cookies
We use our own simple system to see how the website is used, so we can improve it. It uses no cookies and we do not store IP addresses. No data goes to Google Analytics or any other party.
For each visit we store: which page was viewed, which website or search engine you came from, the type of browser, operating system and device (for example mobile), your browser language, and whether a step in the booking or contact form succeeded. We do not store what you type into a form; only which field, if any, was left empty.
To count visitors, each visitor gets an anonymous code that changes every day. This means we cannot recognise anyone or follow anyone across several days. The statistics are kept on our own server and are deleted automatically after 400 days.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are technically necessary, for example to send forms securely. There are no cookies for advertising or tracking. That is why we do not ask for consent with a cookie banner.
Services of other parties
Spam protection: when you send a form we use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam. Cloudflare processes technical data from your browser for this.
Map: some pages show a map from OpenStreetMap. It is loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address.
Route planning: if you click "Plan your route" you go to Google Maps, where Google's privacy policy applies.
How long we keep data
We keep booking and invoice data for seven years, as Dutch law requires for accounting. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your question. Visitor statistics are deleted after 400 days.
Sharing with others
We do not sell your data and do not share it with others, except when needed to carry out your booking (for example with a caterer you book through us) or when the law requires it.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data, and object to its use. Email info@deoorsprong.frl. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). Bookings and messages can only be seen by us, after logging in.
